We are more than a family with a special needs son
Our life has changed drastically since Brantley entered this world. He has been the best thing to bless our family.
Greetings from the Brown Family! Thank you for visiting our page. We will be sharing our story about our son Brantley’s journey with Bohring-Opitz Syndrome. Our objective is to bring awareness as well as document and share our journey to be of support to anyone that is living with Bohring-Opitz Syndrome or any of the conditions that Brantley has been diagnosed with. Let me introduce myself:
My name is Melissa Brown, my husband Nick and I have been together for the better part of 24 years. We welcomed our son Cody into our world in 1999. He is a healthy, typically functioning young man. He graduated from high school in 2018 and joined the United States Marine Corps. Realizing that we were now empty nesters, we bought a Jeep and started building it up for some traveling adventures. While our son Cody was in boot camp, we surprisingly found out that we were expecting a new baby.
That was quite a surprise but after the initial shock, we were very excited to welcome our little one into our world. Afterall, we have done this before. This should be easy, right? Boy, we had no idea what kind of adventures we had in store.
Brantley is a shining light in our world. He is a sweet, fun loving, funny and a determined little man. We know that Brantley will define Brantley, not Bohring-Opitz Syndrome and we do not want to limit him based on what we think he may or may not do. We will continue to encourage and support him every step of the way. I will be sharing each of Brantley’s conditions and his journey in more detail throughout this blog. Thank you again for joining us. If you have any questions, regarding anything I share in these articles, please feel free to reach out to me at brantleysbohringlife@gmail.com.
